An expected day …

Few years ago, someone told me that the hobbit village in the movie « The lord of the rings »was real, it wasn’t destroyed after the shooting. I was so happy to know that ! But, after research, I found where the country was … In New-Zealand, the other end of the word. At this period, a plane ticket cost 1600€, a lot of money just for the transport ! Too expensive … so, I forgot my dream.

And, several years passed … and with my man, we had this envy to travel. We choose New-Zealand first, because it’s a beautiful country. So, my child dream was going to become real
Few days after we arrived, time to get things in order, we reserved our tickets for Hobbiton !

But, I have a confidence … I’m a super fan of the lord of the rings. Every year, I read the books and I watch several times the movies. I had to made something during this visit ! That’s why I found a hobbit cosplay 😀 just to be are like home. ( Yes….super fan )

And it really was. ( I had a big succes with the hobbiton staff, they liked my costume, but that didn’t help for a second beer at the green dragon )

Speaking about the organisation, it’s very well thought ! Every bus have an assign guide, we were approximatively 20 in ours. Every small group have an itinerary that allow us to see the complete shine, and to see again the scenes of the movies in real.

We were lucky, because we took our time, so we went behind our group, almost alone. We had the time to look at all small details about the shine.

Honestly it’s magical ! We expect that a hobbit just appears along the way … it was me that day 😀
When you take a look, there are a lots of signs of life, small chair, vegetables, jars of jam, small workshops,…

The visite take around 3 hours and ends with a good beer at the green dragon. ( Include in your ticket )

At the very end we found the shop, and … my man offered me the precious <3

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to conquer the middle-earth

Price for the bus ( 3h since Auckland center ) and ticket entrance for 2 : 280$ ( 168€ )
To know : If you come from Auckland, the bus will take you at Matamata, when you must be on a other bus to hobbiton.
